Building Knowledge Through Research
At the Uganda Wildlife Research and Training College (UWRTC), we are committed to developing skilled professionals who drive wildlife conservation through knowledge, research, and innovation. We provide a supportive and stimulating learning environment that transforms passionate learners into competent practitioners in wildlife conservation and natural resource management.
UWRTC actively conducts and supports applied wildlife research that informs conservation policy, strengthens ecosystem management, and contributes to evidence-based decision-making at both national and regional levels.
Through research-led training, students gain practical exposure to real conservation challenges, enabling them to connect theory with field realities.
We nurture confident, ethical, and solution-oriented professionals equipped to respond to emerging wildlife and environmental issues. Our learner-centred approach emphasizes critical thinking, innovation, and hands-on field experience, ensuring that graduates acquire skills aligned with current and future conservation priorities.
We aim at inspiring our students to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more in their respective journeys of life.
